Mauro, my dear friends,
Thank you for welcoming us with traditional Brazilian hospitality.
We value the continuity of our relations and a sincere desire to continue developing economic, humanitarian, educational and cultural ties as well as technological and defence cooperation.
We will certainly discuss current issues that remain unresolved for different reasons. We realise that the new government is just settling in and preparing for cooperation with foreign countries. We agreed that our experts will conduct an inventory of our relations to determine their present status. We will also coordinate a schedule of meetings of the Intergovernmental Russia-Brazil Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the Commission on Political Issues. These activities will reach their peak with the efforts of a high-level cooperation commission with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and the Vice President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
We are open to discussion of any issue that you consider important. My only suggestion is that we continue the discussion we started during our previous meeting in your office. I am referring to the global events related to multi-polarity and the countries that want to be recognised as independent players in line with their national interests.
