Press release on the summoning of the chargé d'affaires of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Foreign Ministry

On July 7, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Russian Federation, Jorgen Söderberg, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

A strong protest was lodged with the Swedish side regarding yet another incident involving an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle targeting the Russian Trade Mission in Stockholm. The incident occurred during the night of July 5, when a container of paint was dropped onto the premises of the Russian diplomatic mission.

The Swedish authorities were urged to strictly fulfil their obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and to take comprehensive measures to identify those responsible for the ongoing series of attacks targeting Russian foreign missions in Sweden, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
