Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Republic of Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov

On March 1, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

The foreign ministers discussed the state of bilateral relations and development plans under the Declaration on Allied Interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan of February 22, 2022.

They reaffirmed the need to implement the trilateral agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2021-2022. They expressed their commitment to continue cooperating in accordance with various multilateral formats, including the Caspian Five and the 3+3 Consultative Regional Platform.

The ministers exchanged opinions on other international issues of mutual interest.
