Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan

On February 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

They discussed topics on the bilateral agenda, including trade and economic cooperation and implementation of projects in the energy sector.

The ministers coordinated their approaches on a number of current regional and international issues with a focus on the situation in the Middle East, the South Caucasus and in Ukraine. They also reviewed issues of interaction at international platforms and considered the schedule of upcoming bilateral meetings.
