Foreign Ministry statement on personal sanctions against the heads of PR organisations and defence lobby representatives in the United Kingdom
In connection with the British government’s continuing unfriendly course of discrediting Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, and its consistent military support for the Nazi regime in Kiev, it was decided to include 30 heads of British organisations in charge of the coordinated promotion of the anti-Russia information agenda as well as representatives of the UK defence lobby on the Russian stop-list.
The list of British citizens now denied entry to the Russian Federation include, in part, such inveterate Russophobes as Francis Ingham, director-general of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), co-founder of the PR Network marketing and public relations agency Nicky Regazzoni and expert on chemical and biological protection Hamish de Bretton-Gordon.
For example, Ingham is actively pushing British companies to suspend cooperation with Russian businesses by intimidating them with the moral, ethical and reputational consequences of working in Russia. The PR Network headed by Regazzoni coordinates the work of about 150 PR companies that are involved in the information and propaganda campaign against our country.
Ingham and Regazzoni orchestrate high-profile Russophobic stories to impose Western approaches and manipulate public opinion. De Bretton-Gordon is known for his provocative “expert analysis” whereby he invariably talks about Russia’s alleged readiness to use chemical weapons in Britain and against civilians in Ukraine.
We will continue to work on expanding Russia’s stop-list.
