Press release on the latest delivery of Russian humanitarian aid to Syria and the return home of Russian nationals permanently residing in Syria

On 18 December, an aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 25 tonnes of Russian humanitarian aid to Latakia, Syria, within the framework of the humanitarian "bridge" established between Russia and Syria. Russian and Ukrainian nationals permanently residing in Syria and their family members who expressed a desire to leave the conflict area for security reasons (23 people in total) returned to Moscow on a return flight on 19 December.

Russia will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the friendly Syrian people and to Russian nationals who wish to temporarily leave Syria.
