On October 4 the Russian President's Special Envoy for International Energy Cooperation, Ambassador at Large of the Foreign Ministry of Russia Igor Yusufov had a meeting with Clarence Cazalot, President of Marathon Oil Company. David Loran, President of Marathon Petroleum Russia, also attended.

During the conversation, new possibilities for investment in Russia's fuel and energy sector, prospects for the participation of US oil companies in the development of fields in Siberia, and questions of Russian-American energy dialogue were discussed.
