Born in 1961.

1983: graduated from the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Fluent in Chinese and English.

Since 1991: held various diplomatic posts in the central office of the Foreign Ministry and abroad, notably in China, the USA and Japan.

2006-2009: Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy in China.

2009-2011: Director of the First Asian Department.

Since December 2011: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Awarded the Order of Honour, the Medal of the Order For Service to the Fatherland II class, and several other awards.

Married, with two children.
