Meeting between the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and participants of the Young Global Leaders’ international summit of the World Economic Forum

On the 21 October the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov welcomed participants of the Young Global Leaders' international summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The Summit of Young Global Leaders, a club uniting more than 700 young businessmen, politicians, scientists and community leaders from 70 countries of the world, was held in Russia for the first time on the side-lines of the annual WEF Moscow session.

During the meeting, which was held in the "round table" format with the participation of the WEF President Klaus Schwab, there was an exchange of opinions on topical problems of the social and economic development of Russia in the context of the global economic situation. The Minister answered many questions from the participants. We view this event as evidence of the growing interest towards Russia on the part of the international business community, and an acknowledgement of the strengthening role of our country in world politics and economics.
