Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uganda Jeje Abubakar Odongo

On June 18, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uganda Jeje Abubakar Odongo, who has come to Moscow on a delegation of Vice President of Uganda Jessica Alupo.

The sides held an in-depth discussion of the key aspects of the further development of mutually beneficial Russian-Ugandan relations in various spheres, focusing on the importance of building up trade, economic and investment cooperation and coordinating joint projects in energy, agriculture, science, training of personnel, medicine and high technology.

They also reaffirmed mutual commitment to promoting political dialogue and closely coordinating their foreign policy positions based on the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter.
