Foreign Ministry statement on personal sanctions against representatives of UK’s defence manufacturing sector, the expert community and media

The Foreign Ministry notes that the government of the United Kingdom has opted for sticking to its hostile policy line regarding Russia and persists with its integrated effort to confront and counter our country while prodding the Zelensky regime to continue the bloodshed.

In response to London’s aggressive actions, Russia decided to further expand its stop list by adding to it representatives of British private security companies involved in training Ukrainian service personnel, senior executives of defence manufacturers supplying their products or services to the Kiev regime, as well as experts and observers who have been appearing in the media to spread their anti-Russian views on defence matters and the special military operation.

Once again, the Foreign Ministry emphasises that all the attempts by the British Russophobes to put conditions in place with the view to achieving what they call Russia’s strategic defeat and securing its international isolation are doomed to fail. Russia calls on London to be clear-eyed about the current situation and to change its take on our bilateral relations without delay.

The following UK subjects have been added to the list of persons who would not be able to enter the Russian Federation:
