Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s message of greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of a classic music concert as part of the Russian Muses for the World international project on Diplomatic Worker’s Day

I am happy to welcome the participants and guests of this classic music concert organised by the Muses for the World Foundation on Diplomatic Worker’s Day.

It is difficult to overestimate the role of cultural diplomacy in creating a positive, unifying international agenda and in promoting friendship, trust and mutual understanding between nations.

It is symbolic in this context, that today’s concert is devoted to the work of the great Russian composer, Pyotr Tchaikovsky. This rich heritage is not just our national asset, it belongs to the entire world. 

A special event in the life of the capital, this concert is designed to impart a special flavor to the celebration of Diplomatic Worker’s Day by giving listeners the incredible feeling of being involved in high musical art.
