Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov Meets with Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pyotr Poroshenko

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, met with Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pyotr Poroshenko, in Moscow on October 23.

The subject of talks was issues in Russian-Ukrainian economic cooperation, the Azov-Kerch settlement, problems concerning the presence and operation of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, and the state of affairs in the field of military technology.

The sides noted the desirability of implementing large-scale humanitarian projects aimed at strengthening the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding between Russia and Ukraine.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies examined international themes of mutual interest.
