Comment by the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the besmearing of the monument to General Ivan Chernyakhovsky in Poland
At night from the 3 to 4 May, the monument to Ivan Chernyakhovsky, who commanded the 3rd Belorussian Front in Pieniężno, was besmeared again.
We are deeply outraged about this act of vandalism. We expect the Polish authorities to undertake all the necessary measures to investigate this incident, to punish those, who are guilty and to prevent such barbaric actions in the future.
