On February 19, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, who is in Moscow on an official visit.
Sergey Lavrov praised highly the Russian and Belarusian parliaments' contribution to promoting the truly allied relations between the two countries. The sides exchanged views on the essential topics of Russian-Belarusian cooperation in political, economic and cultural areas, and on issues related to their interaction in the Eurasian Economic Union.
