Press release on signing an agreement to establish the FAO office for communication in Moscow

On February 5, an official ceremony of signing an agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) to establish a FAO office for communication in Moscow was held in Rome.

The ceremony took place in the FAO Headquarters, and the agreement was signed by Russia's Ambassador to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation and other international agencies in Rome Alexander Gorban and FAO Director General Jose Graziano da Silva.

The office will work to enhance FAO cooperation with Russian profile agencies, sectoral associations, agricultural business and the scientific community and develop joint FAO-Russian projects in various spheres.
