Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s conversation with Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono
On February 16, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a conversation with Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The ministers discussed the further promotion of the bilateral political dialogue, including preparations for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Russia in May, trade and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties in the context of the Year of Russia in Japan and the Year of Japan in Russia in 2018, and current international subjects.
The officials agreed to hold talks in Tokyo in March.
