Press release on Latin American ambassadors’ visit to Yaroslavl Region
On November 9-10, a group of ambassadors of Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries, accredited in Moscow, visited Yaroslavl Region at the invitation of Yaroslavl Governor Dmitry Mironov and with the assistance of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Association of Russian Diplomats.
During the visit, the LAC ambassadors held meetings with the Governor, members of the regional government and representatives of the local business community, and focused on potential areas of trade, economic, investment and innovation cooperation, as well as related concrete projects, between the region and LAC countries. The diplomats had an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the industrial, scientific and technological potential of the region, its social and cultural achievements and its historical, spiritual and architectural heritage. The National Committee for the Promotion of Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries was an important intermediary in establishing contacts with the Yaroslavl business circles.
The trip to the Yaroslavl Region continues the tradition of organising periodic visits by LAC ambassadors to Russian regions, which helps cement the bonds of friendship between our countries and peoples and broaden political interaction and multipronged cooperation.
