Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov’s meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir

On March 29, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov held talks with Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir on the sidelines of the Dead Sea Summit of the League of Arab States taking place in Jordan.

The parties discussed in detail some of the key issues of the Middle East agenda, paying particular attention to the situation in Syria and a political settlement in Syria.

They also reviewed matters to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia, including maintaining regular political dialogue and promoting commercial and economic ties between the two countries, all of which both sides consider to be at this present moment of utmost importance.
