Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov’s participation in the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference

On June 28, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov headed the Russian interdepartmental delegation at the opening session of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna.

On the sidelines of the session Mr Meshkov met with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, Special Representative of the Federal Government of Germany for the OSCE Chairmanship Gernot Erler, Special Assistant to the US President and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia on the National Security Council Celeste Wallander, and the head of the French delegation.

The session and the meetings focused on common European security, the OSCE’s current agenda, concerns about destructive actions by NATO along the Russian borders, and ways to resolve the crisis in Ukraine’s southeast and “frozen” conflicts on OSCE territory.
