Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Milorad Dodik, President of the Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

On June 19, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with Milorad Dodik, President of the Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on the sidelines of the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The discussion focused on prospects for cooperation between Russia and the Republika Srpska. The interlocutors reaffirmed their intention to build up investment, cultural, and humanitarian ties.

They paid special attention to Bosnian settlement issues and stressed the need for strict compliance with the General (Deyton) Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina by all of the Bosnian parties and international presences.

An exchange of views was held on a number of pressing problems of the European and regional agenda.
