Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with Foreign Minister of Denmark Jeppe Kofod

On September 26, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a conversation with his Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod on the sidelines of the 74^th UN General Assembly session in New York at the latter’s initiative.

The foreign ministers discussed the general state of bilateral relations the development of which has been suspended by Copenhagen in the last few years.

They also exchanged views on regional issues, including cooperation within the Council of the Baltic Sea States with the account for Denmark’s presidency in this regional organisation and in the Arctic Council. The ministers also reviewed a number of urgent international issues, including the situation in Syria and developments in Ukraine.
