Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov’s meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Russia Mehmet Samsar
On June 17, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation Mehmet Samsar.
During the meeting, the officials had a substantive exchange of opinions on the situation in the Libyan peace settlement. They emphasised the importance of continuing the coordination of Russian and Turkish steps to de-escalate the violence in Libya and arrange an intra-Libyan political process under the aegis of the UN in keeping with the Berlin International Conference and UN Security Council Resolution 2510.
