Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s conversation with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto

On September 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov talked with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto on the sidelines of the general political discussion at the 71^st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The ministers discussed the current state of and prospects for bilateral cooperation in light of the agreements reached by President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban at their meeting in Moscow on February 17, 2016, and exchanged opinions on a number of issues dealing with UN activities ahead of the upcoming election of the new UN Secretary-General.
