Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with his Senegalese counterpart Mankeur Ndiaye

On October 1, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad of the Republic of Senegal Mankeur Ndiaye on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.

They discussed topical issues of Russian-Senegalese cooperation and its prospects, as well as confirmed mutual willingness to raise the level of political dialogue and expand trade and investment relations.

The officials noted that they share near stances on the key issues of the international and African agenda. The sides emphasised the key role of the United Nations in the resolution of world crises and pointed to the need for all states to comply with the accepted rules regulating mutual relations in world politics.
