Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s meeting with high-ranking representatives of the small island states of the South Pacific
On September 26, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had the 10th meeting with leaders and high-ranking representatives of the small developing island states of the South Pacific on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The sides discussed a wide range of matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their striving to expand practical collaboration between Russia and its partners from the South Pacific subregion on a bilateral and multilateral basis, as well as Russia’s readiness to provide various kinds of support to these countries, including measures to adapt to climate change and to overcome its impact.
