Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov to Attend a Russia-NATO Council Meeting at Foreign Minister Level

PRESS RELEASE

A meeting of the Russia-NATO Council (RNC) will take place in Brussels on December 4 at the foreign minister level. It will be attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

It is expected that a frank discussion on the state of and prospects for Russia-NATO relations, practical cooperation in the RNC format and the Council's role in perfecting the Euro-Atlantic security architecture in light of the initiative put forth by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for concluding a European Security Treaty will be held at the meeting.
