PRESS RELEASE
On the 28 November, at about 17.00 Moscow time, mortaring of the district where the Russian Embassy in Syria is located, by armed formations of anti-government forces, resulted in a mortar exploding in its territory and another mortar near it. No Russian nationals were injured. One Syrian died, nine persons, including from the Syrian guards of the Embassy were wounded. Insignificant material damage was inflicted upon the building of the diplomatic mission.
We perceive with indignation and decisively denounce recent frequent mortaring of the central part of Damascus, including the territory of the Russian Embassy, by militants. We view these as acts of terrorism, the perpetrators of which and those who encourage and send them, should receive the punishment they deserve.
