The situation in the Philippines

2475-09-12-2013

PRESS RELEASE

The situation in the major part of the territory of the Republic of the Philippines after the destructive Typhoon Haiyan is gradually normalising. To that end, Russia is cancelling its recommendations to nationals of the Russian Federation to refrain from travelling to the Philippines, excluding the regions which have suffered the most, primarily Leyte and Eastern Samar Islands, where the situation is still complicated.

Taking into account that the state of national emergency in the Philippines has not yet been cancelled, it is desirable not to leave the popular travel areas of Boracay, Cebu, Palawan and the Bohol Islands.
