Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s opening remarks during talks with Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne, St Petersburg, June 7, 2019
Mr Prime Minister,
I am grateful for this opportunity to meet with you. I hope that you will enjoy visiting St Petersburg as much as you enjoyed Moscow during the 2018 World Cup. The weather here is currently more typical of your country than the climate of this city.
In January next year, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Antigua and Barbuda. I believe we can think of some exchange of congratulatory messages, as well as holding a number of events to mark the anniversary. For our part, we are ready to make some appropriate suggestions.
