Ms Minister,

We are delighted to welcome you back to  Moscow.

Russia and the Republic of Korea are important partners in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR). Our relationship is based on regular contacts between our leaders. Last year, President Vladimir Putin met with President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, as well as with Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon, who participated in the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

Our inter-parliamentary dialogue is steadily growing. The leaders of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and both houses of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation regularly exchange visits. Cooperation has also been established between the agencies responsible for security issues.

We are satisfied with the close cooperation and regular consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia and South Korea.

Joint economic projects are growing between us, and trade and economic cooperation in general is expanding. Humanitarian exchanges are developing successfully as well.

Today I count on discussing the entire range of our bilateral ties and cooperation in regional and international affairs, with a particular focus on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia in general.

I am really happy to see you.
