Dear Friends,

Your Excellences,

It’s another meeting in the format of the Ministerial Dialogue between GCC and the Russian Federation. We highly appreciate our relations with each of your countries through bilateral channels and also this formant of the multilateral discussions and consultations. We are interested in deepening of our political dialogue with GCC on the key issues of international relations and especially on the Middle East and North Africa. We believe that it is within our reach to improve the coordination of our approaches to quite a number of these conflicts and to create conditions for this region, which has suffered enough, from this crisis to peace, stability and development. We also cherish our discussions in the continuing the efficiency of counter-terrorist efforts, contributing to inter-civilisational dialogue in the multi-confessional and multi-ethnic societies that are to be preserved and to be in peace.

Another topic which we recently started discussing with GCC friends is promoting trade and economic cooperation - be it energy, transport infrastructure, innovations, modern technologies including peaceful usage of nuclear energy. With quite a number of your countries we have entered into interesting and promising agreements including creation of joint investment platforms for mutual benefit. So I look forward to discussing all these issues and of course no doubt we will speak on crisis in Syria as follow-up to the meeting of the ISSG which many of us have attended this morning.

Thank you.
