On October 3 in Sochi, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold bilateral and trilateral talks with President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba, President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloyev and Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioyev.

The agenda includes a wide range of the current aspects of bilateral relations and regional and international issues. The trilateral talks will focus on coordination at the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the South Caucasus, a unique dialogue platform co-chaired by the EU, the UN and the OSCE, where official representatives of Abkhazia and South Ossetia take part in discussions alongside delegates from Georgia, Russia and the United States.

During the bilateral talks, the ministers will sign plans of consultations between their foreign ministries for 2024-2025.
