Press release on exhibit of 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Nicaragua
On December 13, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua Denis Moncada Colindres opened an exhibit on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Nicaragua at the Media Centre in Zaryadye Park.
The exhibit displays archival documents, newsreels and rare shots by Soviet and Russian correspondents, that reflect the brightest pages from the history of bilateral cooperation.
The Media Centre also hosted the opening of an exhibit of works by Russian photographer and traveler Sergey Kovalchuk called “Nicaragua Today” (through December 22, 2019), which captures the unique landscape of this Latin American country and interesting details of the traditions and customs of its residents.
In his welcome speech, Alexander Grushko noted: “The history of Russian-Nicaraguan cooperation is permeated with a spirit of unity and mutual respect. Our peoples have always held sincere sympathy for each other.”
