Press release on First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov’s meeting with Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano
On April 26, First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov received Italy’s Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano.
The officials discussed current international issues, including developments in Syria and Libya and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear programme. They stressed the need to progressively implement the Minsk package of measures in the context of the Ukrainian settlement process. The parties noted the importance of continuing Russian-Italian cooperation in order to find joint solutions to crises, bearing in mind the fact that Italy chairs the OSCE in 2018.
The officials also discussed Russian-Italian relations at the present time and their future prospects.
