ALEXANDER YAKOVENKO, THE OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN OF RUSSIA'S MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, ANSWERS A QUESTION FROM RUSSIAN MEDIA REGARDING THE TERRORIST ACTS IN INDONESIA
Unofficial translation from Russian
Question: Are there any casualties among Russian citizens as a result of the terrorist acts in Indonesia and, in particular, on Bali Island?
Answer: As soon as news came of the terrorist acts that had taken place in Indonesia, the Russian Embassy in Jakarta immediately got in touch with competent Indonesian authorities to ascertain the circumstances of the incident. We, naturally, were in the first place worried by information about the Russian citizens staying in the country. As of now, according to the Indonesian side's data, there are no Russian citizens among the casualties. The Embassy continues to closely follow the situation and to inform the Russian MFA of the developments in it.
