Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova's reply to a media question regarding Estonia's territorial claims to Russia
Question: What can you say about recent statements by Estonian Parliament Speaker Henn Polluaas and Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Reinsalu on Estonia's desire to reclaim the territory annexed by Russia in accordance with the 1920 Tartu Peace Treaty?
Maria Zakharova: We have said more than once that this topic is closed once and for all, and we do not intend to discuss it in the future. The Treaty of Tartu has become history.
We regret that instead of thinking about how to normalise relations with Russia, Estonian senior officials continue making increasingly provocative and absurd statements.
Such rhetoric by no means facilitates the formation of a positive agenda of our relations or progress in ratifying our bilateral border treaties.
