Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs/State Secretary Grigory Karasin’s Consultations at Israeli Foreign Ministry

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Secretary of the Russian Federation, Grigory Karasin, held consultations at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon and Deputy Director General for Central Europe and Eurasia Pini Avivi on April 21.

During the conversations, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, a thorough exchange of views took place on CIS-related problems. Special attention was devoted to the situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Questions of cooperation between the two countries through the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) also were discussed.

The parties spoke in favor of continuing the practice of such consultations on a regular basis at the conclusion of the talks.
