Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin’s meeting with UN Assistant Secretary-General for Rule of Law and Security Institutions Alexander Zuev
On July 16, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin met with UN Assistant Secretary-General for Rule of Law and Security Institutions Alexander Zuev.
The officials exchanged views on UN peacemaking and peacebuilding as well as on the UN Secretariat reform launched by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. They also focused on a number of regional situations, which Russia had been helping to settle.
During his visit, Assistant Secretary-General Zuev visited Russian agencies engaged in training and sending peacemakers to UN peacekeeping operations.
