Press release on Uzbekistani Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov’s upcoming working visit to Russia

On February 22-23, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdualziz Kamilov will pay a working visit to Moscow as part of wide-ranging work to implement the agreements reached during President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to the Russian Federation on April 4-5, 2017.

During talks between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Abdulaziz Kamilov, they will discuss a wide range of current issues related to the international situation and Russian-Uzbekistani foreign-policy cooperation. Particular attention will be paid to regional security in Central Asia and the situation around Afghanistan.

The foreign ministers are also expected to sign a cooperation programme between the two countries’ foreign ministries.
