Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov’s meeting with a leader of the Lebanese Al-Mourabitoun Party Mustafa Hamdan

On December 20, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with a leader of Lebanon's Al-Mourabitoun party Mustafa Hamdan.

The officials exchanged views on the political situation in the Lebanese Republic, as well as the Syrian crisis and its impact on neighbouring Lebanon.

The Russian diplomat reaffirmed Moscow’s support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Lebanese Republic, including the settlement of all issues on the Lebanese agenda by the Lebanese themselves, exclusively within the framework of law, by means of a dialogue and with due regard for the interests of all the leading political forces and religious groups in the country.
