Press release on awarding the Glory of Ossetia Order to Vitaly Churkin (posthumously)

On May 26, Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov received Boris Dzhanayev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania to the President of Russia.

During the meeting, the Glory of Ossetia Order was presented to the family of the late Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin.

This top award of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was bestowed on Mr Churkin for his service to the people of Ossetia and the high professionalism he displayed serving as Russian permanent representative to the UN.

Mr Gatilov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania for its high regard of Vitaly Churkin’s efforts.
