Press release on the death of Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin
The Foreign Ministry regrets to announce that Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin passed away suddenly in New York on February 20, a day before his 65th birthday.
The outstanding Russian diplomat died in harness.
We offer our deepest condolences to Mr Churkin’s family and friends.
