Foreign Ministry statement on the terrorist attacks in Baghdad and Istanbul

We express our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the January 11 terrorist attack in Baghdad and of the January 12 explosion in Istanbul. We also wish an early recovery to those who have been injured in these attacks.

These cynical crimes can have no justification and are clear evidence of the inhuman and cruel nature of international terrorism, especially when its victims are local and foreign civilians.

These attacks have reaffirmed the urgent need to rally the efforts of the international community towards creating a coalition against terrorism that will be based on strict compliance with international law and will preclude the use of double standards and approaches.
