Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin’s meeting with participants in the Dialogue for the Future programme of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund
On October 22, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin had a meeting with participants in the Dialogue for the Future annual research and education programme of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund. The event was attended by over 60 young foreign affairs professionals, political analysts and experts from 27 countries, including the CIS and other states.
The Fund’s Dialogue for the Future programme was launched in 2011 in the form of lectures, seminars, roundtable discussions and meetings of young professionals with the leading members of political, research and cultural communities plus representatives of government agencies, including the Russian Foreign Ministry. The event lasts several days.
This year, the programme was timed to coincide with the celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the birthday of Yevgeny Primakov. The agenda included a presentation of the collection of articles titled Yevgeny Primakov: Politician, Diplomat and Scientist. The pilot copies of the book were distributed among the participants, who also visited the Foreign Ministry’s Centre of History of the Russian Diplomatic Service.
