Question: There is information that foreign military ships are entering the waters of the Black Sea more and more frequently. In this regard, how do you assess the role of Turkey, as a country which should observe the implementation of the provisions of the Montreux Convention, related to the passage of military ships in Straits?

Answer: Russia noted with satisfaction the statement by Turkey that it will continue, as it has been doing for 78 years, to strictly observe the Montreux Convention, which makes a significant contribution to the security of the Black Sea states.
