Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Meets with Group of Authoritative US Politicians and Entrepreneurs

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on February 20 hosted a group of American politicians and entrepreneurs for a conversation, made up of John Mroz, President of the East-West Institute; H. Ulrich, aide to the US National Security Advisor; William Perry, former US Secretary of Defense; John Wolfensohn, former World Bank President; Donald Kendall, former head of PepsiCo; and David Holloway, Stanford University professor.
A keen discussion took place on topical issues in Russian-American relations and on the possibilities to expand understanding and cooperation between Russia and the United States.
Meeting participants spoke for using the potential of mutual trust accumulated in the framework of bilateral antiterrorist cooperation in the interest of strengthening Russian-American engagement in other areas, including international security issues.
