Press release on terrorist attacks in Brussels
A series of coordinated terrorist attacks were staged in the Brussels Airport and the metro in the morning of March 22.
According to incoming reports, at least 26 people were killed and dozens wounded. These figures are being continuously updated.
The Belgian authorities have raised the terror threat to the highest fourth level, shut down the Brussels Airport and railway stations, and stopped the operation of public transport.
There is no information on the presence of Russian citizens among the dead or injured.
The Russian Embassy in Belgium is maintaining close contact with the competent Belgian bodies and continues to monitor any developments.
