Question: The mass media published information that the Minister-Councillor of the Russian Embassy in Kiev was summoned to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs a few days ago, where it was pointed out to him that his statements at one of the round tables for discussion of the problems of federalisation of Ukraine were unacceptable. What can you say about this?

Answer: Our Minister-Councillor of the Russian Embassy in Kiev was indeed invited to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they expressed their claim regarding his contemplations about the situation in Ukraine, during the round table "Federalisation of Ukraine: from breakdown to unity", which was held in Kiev.

We can only be perplexed about such claims. An opinion was expressed within the framework of an analytical political discussion (with reference, it should be noted, to assessments of Ukrainian politicians) about crisis processes in Ukraine and, the main thing, the real facts of current Ukrainian reality were pointed out, in particular, the creation of parallel power structures in several regions of the country, which were not subordinate to any central authorities, which may be interpreted as signs of federalisation of Ukraine. Where is the "mutiny"?

We are surprised that the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs staged such a walkout on the background of everyday categorical statements, recommendations, and requests on how to act and how to live in Ukraine, which can be heard from high representatives of different western countries and European structures. For some reason, Kiev does not comment on these actions. We can only ask – why?
