Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov’s meeting with United States Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan and Russia-US High-Level Counterterrorism Dialogue
On September 9, Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov and Deputy Secretary of State of the United States John J. Sullivan co-chaired a meeting of coordinators of Russia-US Counterterrorism Dialogue. Interagency talks on this subject were held as part of this gathering.
Mr Syromolotov and Mr Sullivan also discussed the state and prospects for bilateral cooperation on countering terrorist threats.
During the meeting, representatives of the competent Russian and US agencies engaged in a meaningful exchange of views on the most urgent problems related to the counter-terrorist agenda, as well as the key spheres for future interaction between the two countries.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to keeping up constructive, depoliticised efforts as part of the dialogue between Moscow and Washington.
